A Hike with Mommy
Yesterday, I took the boys to the Botanical Gardens in Thousand Oaks for a hike. We were the only ones there - maybe because it was the first overcast day we've had in awhile. It started to rain, which we loved. I was in a dress which added to the excitement. Here are some of the best shots from our day.

Isn't this place beautiful!?
On the road...
Another tree and another cute shot
We found this little bridge and the kids were hooked!

This is the "Rare Fruit Orchard"

We found grashoppers in the cactus garden...
Here, to the boys' surprise, one has just flown away!

Holly(not)weird Vacation
For his birthday, Geoff's parents gave him and I a very special treat. They stayed at our house with the kids this weekend and sent us to Hollywood to see "Narnia, Prince Caspian"! It was HOT and we had so much fun by the pool and touring the Farmer's Market...not to mention seeing the show itself at the El Capitan Theatre. We even got to see actual props and costumes used in the filming of the movie. Thank you G-Pa and J-Ma.

Cindy at the Farmer's Market in Santa Monica on Arizona St.
Cindy at Anthropologie on 4th in Santa Monica (we LOVE this store...and I do mean "we" - what, Geoff found a book he liked!)
Together at the Santa Monica pier
Enjoying a coctail by the pool...it was SO HOT we had to sit in the shade...so the life!

Eating dinner a The Ivy on Robertson
Loving The Ivy (and each other)
OK...we were SO pleasantly surprised to be sitting outside at the restaurant and see our friends Jessie & Jamie (sisters) walk by. It's been many years since we've see them last and it was such a great moment...what a coincidence - oh, it's a small world!
